Thomas E. Boe (Big Tom)

BSEM from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, 1967. Big Tom spent 35 years at John Deere and now works for Surfacing Solutions. He is a co-inventor on eight control-system patents.

Surfacing Solutions, Inc., September 2000 – Present.
Main responsibility is with software consulting for embedded control systems on mobile equipment. His background and experience allow him to offer a variety of services which can include: Requirements Capture, Documentation and Review, Code Review, Software Testing and Test Planning, and Code Writing. Has the capability of programming in either ‘C’ or Assembler.

John Deere Waterloo Works, June 1967 – February 2001, Engineer.
Has over 20 years of experience with microprocessor based control systems for hydraulic control on agricultural products. Prior to that he worked for 13 years in the automated testing environment providing computer aided tests of hydraulic pumps and motors, as well as specialized engine test systems. He provides a broad understanding of the total system with knowledge of mechanical design, hydraulic circuits, and electronic interfaces.
