BSME from University of Iowa, 1994. Jay’s partnership with Surfacing Solutions has enabled both parties to grow. He has over twelve years of Pro/E experience specializing in casting, vacuum-formed, injection molded and rotational molded components.

Infinity, Inc, 2002 – present, Owner & Modeler.
Major focus has been on the design of castings and plastic components. Some specific jobs were to create models of hoods and hood components, cab consoles, fenders, fuel tanks, fan shrouds, frame castings and axle castings. Other areas of design experience include step weldments, pump design and engine design.

Case-New Holland, November 2001 – September 2002, Design Engineer.
Designed axial flow rotor components and welded frame assemblies on a new generation combine. Created models and assemblies of plastic access panels, plastic grain-tailing chutes, top-level rotor assemblies, frame supports, cab supports, and numerous other sheet metal components.

John Deere, November 1999 – November 2001, Design Engineer.
Designed plastic components pertinent to the styling and functionality of hood assemblies for the large row crop wheel and track vehicles. Responsible for creating multiple light bezel components, design of safety shields, hydraulic line routings and layouts for multiple combinations of wheel spacing.

Case IH, July 1996 – November 1999, Design Engineer.
Designed air-handling mechanisms to convey material on the cotton harvesting machines. Responsible for creating and maintaining a master assembly and various sub-assemblies used for manufacturing.

Case Corporation, October 1995 – July 1996, Design Engineer.
Designed air conditioning, radiator and oil-cooling layouts for large-scale agricultural equipment. Designed an injection-molded reservoir and various sheet metal components.
