Peterson Caterpillar, March 2005 to Jan 2009, Manager Emissions Retrofit Division
Developed machine retrofit packages to meet CARB and NOX levels for machines working in California. Packages involved removing older Tier 0 and Tier 1 engines and replacing with Tier 3 engines. Solutions were developed for Cat and non-Caterpillar machines. Retrofits involved determining engine requirements, configuring basic engine to work with existing chassis, modifying engine compartment to accept engine and upgrading machine electronics to communicate with engine. Also designed and installed DPF packages to meet horsepower guidelines

Case/New Holland, Sep 2003 to March 2005, Field Follow Service Support
Worked in California’s Central Valley supporting field testing of New Holland’s FR9000 series forage harvester and HW300 series self propelled mower conditioner. Worked closely with factory engineers to document and determine causes of premature failures and to identify operator complaints. Tracked all production and efficiency numbers for further evaluation by factory personnel.

Ziegler Caterpillar, May 1998 to Aug 2003, Journeyman Service Technician
Serviced Caterpillar product line as a shop and field technician. Primary products serviced were Lexion Combines and Challenger Tractors. Completed 500+ hours of focused product troubleshooting and repair training. Performed all facets of repairs from troubleshooting to major overhaul.
