Machine Locators and Base Datums
Developing a good part requires an understanding of how the finished part will be manufactured and dimensionally checked. Our drafting personnel and designers will work together to ensure every casting has clamping locations and machine locators. They will also work to ensure the base datums are set up in a logical manner, helping to ensure the part is dimensioned with a scheme that matches the part functionality.

GD&T
All Surfacing Solutions employees have attended GD&T training to gain an understanding of the ASME Y14.5M Dimensioning and Tolerancing Standard. They have years of experience setting up parts using this standard and will ensure our clients’ drawings are correctly toleranced.
